The entire cast commits magnificently to this malignant melodrama with actors Robert Longstreet and Steve Little smothered in meticulous make-up courtesy of legendary FX artist Robert Kurtzman (Evil Dead II, From Dusk Till Dawn, UHF), and memorably chewing the scenery with the appetite of the Sawyer family in the second Texas Chainsaw Massacre. But Tipper Newton is a miracle as our put-upon protagonist, grounding the absurd terror with genuine pathos and hysterical incredulity.

There is so much creative chaos, audacious camp, sickening make-up FX, irreverent humour and inspired performances that make me laugh, gag and revel in, I cannot deny the film as one of the year's most quintessential "midnight" experiences. And that warrants recognition!“
