Dead Lover
A lonely gravedigger who stinks of corpses finally meets her dream man, but their whirlwind affair is cut short when he tragically drowns at sea. Grief-stricken, she goes to morbid lengths to resurrect him through madcap scientific experiments, resulting in grave consequences and unlikely love.

A lonely gravedigger who stinks of corpses finally meets her dream man. When he tragically drowns at sea, she goes to morbid lengths to resurrect him.
From Sundance to Rotterdam to TIFF, Grace Glowicki's gothic comedy became one of the year's great midnight movies. It was shot on 16mm on handmade sets, with a cast of four playing a dozen roles. Think British pantomime crossed with German Expressionism, then doused in DayGlo splatter.
